The economy may be struggling, but you'd never
know it by the increase in botox sales -- and the number of places you
can get botox injections ... like in the mall!
U.S. botox sales rose 13% to 316 million dollars in the last quarter.
A survey conducted by the American Society for
Dermatologic Surgery found that despite the economic concerns the use
of fillers and Botox are on the rise.
Twenty-eight percent of the physicians surveyed
said that their current use of fillers increased up to 30 percent,
compared to six months ago and more than 40 percent of survey
respondents stated that the number of Botox procedures also increased
compared to six months ago.
Dr. Kimberly Finder, Director of The Face Place
in San Antonio, Texas, agrees with the survey's findings as she has
seen a similar rise within her own practice. "Despite what is going
on in the economy, people are looking for ways to keep a youthful
appearance not just for personal reasons but for their careers. Who
wants to go to work or to an interview and look tired? Botox and
fillers have the ability to take years off of your look without having
to get an expensive face lift."
Kinkiest Guy In LA Is Offering Free Chauffeur Service
WE ALMOST NEVER DO A STORY LIKE THIS -- FOR ONE THING, THERE AREN'T ANY STORIES LIKE THIS -- BUT ONCE YOU HEAR IT, YOU'RE KIND OF CURIOUS AS TO HOW IT TURNED OUT -- FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS [TIL THE WEBSITE TOOK IT DOWN], A GUY RAN AN AD ON CRAIGSLIST, UNDER THE HEADLINE: "FREE DRIVER IN EXCHANGE FOR A LOOK AT YOUR PANTIES!"
--
He said (quote) "Hey ladies! I'll pick you up, drive you to work, pick
you up from work and drop you back home for free! All I ask is that you
flash your underwear, that's it! You don't have to do anything, no
touching or dancing. Just let me see your undies. I know this is weird,
but it's real and not a scam. I'm a real person, kind of shy but a good
guy. I have a picture and a number, you can I.M. me at [censored]

We can meet in public first to get to know each other, and we can talk
on the phone. If you need to stop for errands along the way, I'll do it
for you! I have a nice clean 2003 car, so let's try and make this
work!" (end quote)
-- THE WEIRDEST PART IS: THERE'S PROBABLY SOME GIRL IN L.A. WHO'S JUST AS KINKY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION -- 99.9% OF THE WOMEN WHO SAW THE AD WERE PROBABLY REVOLTED, BUT HE ONLY NEEDED THE ONE WHO WASN'T -- AND IF SHE'S ANYWHERE, SHE'S IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA...
Broken Bones Better Than Telling His
Wife
Vienna, Austria ... A man wound up in the hospital after he faked an
armed robbery ... because he was too scared to tell his wife he had lost
thousands of dollars gambling in a casino.
Josef Reiner, 26, broke his nose, jaw and
arm as he beat himself with an iron bar to make the fake robbery seem real.
But when police officers were called in by
hospital doctors, Reiner copped to what had really happened.
A police spokesman said: "He must have
been very afraid of his wife to inflict so much pain on himself rather than
just confess to her."
Blind Leading Blind Drunk?
Nancy, France ... A
blind man was given a month's suspended jail sentence and fined $850 for
driving under the influence and without a license.
The owner of the car, who was also drunk and
in the passenger seat as the blind man drove, was given the same sentence and
had his license suspended for five months.
The pair were arrested on a country road in
the early morning hours after police spotted their car swerving all over the
road at very low speeds.
Police were shocked when the 29-year-old
driver informed them that he was blind. A breath test showed that he and his
52-year-old passenger were more than twice the legal limit.
"I really wanted to do it (drive the
car)," the blind man told the court. "I expressed this wish. He (the
owner of the car) agreed."
The owner said he saw "a lot of
happiness emanating from him" as the blind man drove, adding that he had
"one hand on the handbrake and one hand on the steering wheel" the
whole time. "I was very concentrated on the road," he said.
The judge told the owner that another drunk
didn't make for a very reliable monitor.
Nun Pageant?
Rome, Italy ... An
Italian priest has organized an online beauty contest for nuns to fight the
stereotype that nuns are old and unattractive.
Reverend Antonio Rungi said the pageant will
pave the way for the nuns to be visible within the Catholic Church.
"Miss Sister 2008" will
officially open on September on a blog run by Reverend Rungi.
The priest said visitors to
his website will not find any nuns wearing bathing suits during the pageant.

We got another relationship email in our email bag at jayandbrock@hotmix1019.com Send us anything you want and we will try and help you out or at least get the listeners to help you.
I have a man I love in my life again. We have wonderful conversation, a
terrific physical relationship, and shared interests; our children get
along well, too. He is always telling me how great a person I am, but
in the same breath, he says that this is not going to go anywhere. One
day he can’t wait to see me, but the next day, he wants to just be
friends. I love this man but have not asked him for a commitment,
though I don’t understand why he won’t let us move into a real
relationship. This back and forth is killing me, but I keep thinking
there is hope. What should I do?

Friday's Show-8/22/08-What You Missed!
Friday 08-22-2008 7:59am CT
(August 19, 2008 - New York, NY) More than a dozen of the world’s most accomplished female recording artists – a cast that includes Mariah
Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley
Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole,
Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes, and Carrie Underwood – have joined together for “Just Stand Up,” an unprecedented charity single in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a new initiative to raise philanthropic dollars for accelerating ground-breaking cancer research.
“Just Stand Up” was
conceived by Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Chairman, Island Def Jam Music
Group, after a powerful and inspiring meeting with the women who
organized the Stand Up To Cancer campaign (whom Reid affectionately
dubbed the “magnificent seven”). The song was produced by L.A. and
Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds – their first creative reunion on record in
nearly two decades. “Just Stand Up” will be released to radio and will be available to purchase exclusively on the iTunes Store starting September 2nd.
“Just Stand Up” is all about the singers and the composers banding together behind SU2C’s
mission: rallying the public around the goal of ending cancer’s reign
as a leading cause of death. The all-star television performance
premiere of the song will take place live on Friday, September 5th (8pm
EDT and PDT), when ABC, CBS, and NBC simultaneously devote one hour of
commercial-free prime time to this nationwide event. This will be the
first simultaneous cross-network broadcast ever to raise funds for the fight against a disease.
In addition to performances by legendary recording artists, the Stand Up To Cancer
special will feature stars from film and television who will perform as
well as present filmed content giving viewers insight into cancer.
Various screening tests will be demonstrated in novel and entertaining
ways.
Network news anchors Charles Gibson, Katie Couric and Brian Williams
will report on potentially life-saving research, speaking with both
patients and scientists. Laura Ziskin will produce the September 5th broadcast. Ziskin is a cancer survivor and her film credits include the Spider-Man trilogy, As Good As ItGets, and Pretty Woman, and she also produced the 74th and 79th Annual Academy Awards.
As of today, celebrities confirmed for the broadcast (both for personal
appearances or answering telephone calls) include: Casey Affleck,
Jennifer Aniston, Christina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, Abigail
Breslin, Josh Brolin, David Cook, Katie Couric, Dana Delany, Fran
Drescher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kirsten Dunst, Elizabeth Edwards, Jon
Favreau, America Ferrera, Charles Gibson, Neil Patrick Harris, Salma
Hayek, Scarlett Johansson, Masi Oka, Danica Patrick, Christina Ricci,
Robin Roberts, Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Meryl Streep, Hilary
Swank, Charlize Theron, Goran Visnjic, Forest Whitaker, Brian Williams
and Reese Witherspoon. Additional participants and musical performers
are still to be announced.
Since its formation, SU2C has been embraced en masse
by the entertainment community which is supporting a host of creative
projects across a wide array of platforms on the web in order to ignite
passion in the American people so they realize that significant
advances in cancer treatment are within reach. There is plenty to view
and link to on SUTC’s website, http://www.standup2cancer.org,
including a variety of PSAs (featuring Jessica Biel, Mayor Michael
Bloomberg, Jodie Foster, Morgan Freeman, Tony Hawk, Tobey Maguire,
Sidney Poitier, Keanu Reeves, Susan Sarandon, Tilda Swinton, Christy
Turlington Burns, and others); as well as videos on the SUTV channel
(with the cast of The Daily Show, Larry David, Ryan Seacrest, and others).
Stand Up To Cancer
is a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), a
501(c)(3) charitable organization, and was established by a group of
media, entertainment and philanthropic leaders, whose lives have all
been affected by cancer in significant ways. Stand Up To Cancer
is bringing industry resources – people, as well as mediums such as
television and the web – to bear in the fight against cancer as never
before.
Stand Up To Cancer’s
leadership team includes Katie Couric; Laura Ziskin; the Entertainment
Industry Foundation, represented by Board of Directors Chairperson
Sherry Lansing (who is also Founder of the Sherry Lansing Foundation),
CEO Lisa Paulsen, and Vice President Kathleen Lobb; the Noreen Fraser
Foundation and its executives Noreen Fraser (who is also a cancer
survivor) and Woody Fraser, and Rusty Robertson and Sue Schwartz also
of the Robertson Schwartz Agency; and nonprofit executive Ellen
Ziffren, whose husband, noted L.A. attorney Ken Ziffren, played a
pivotal role in bringing together the three networks for the broadcast
special.
In addition to the Island Def Jam Music Group, many leading philanthropists, organizations and corporations support the Stand Up To Cancer
Mission, including the Sidney Kimmel Foundation as well as Major League
Baseball, Amgen, AARP, GlaxoSmithKline, Revlon, Wallis Annenberg &
